About the Role
As a Commercial/Sales Excellence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients—fast-growing scale-ups and SME companies—towards sustainable, scalable revenue growth. You will leverage your deep Go-to-Market (GTM) expertise and strategic acumen to design and implement revenue frameworks, ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies, and drive continuous improvement across sales and marketing functions. Your overarching goal will be to optimize commercial performance, enhance operational efficiency, and help clients realize their full growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Go-to-Market Planning:
Develop and refine GTM strategies for B2B scale-ups and SMEs, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and growth targets.
Conduct in-depth market analyses to identify growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and new revenue streams.
Commercial Consultancy & Advisory:
Partner with C-level executives, founders, and commercial teams to assess current commercial operations, highlight performance gaps, and recommend actionable improvements.
Advise clients on best-in-class commercial practices, pricing strategies, and sales methodologies that drive revenue growth and long-term value.
Sales & Revenue Operations Excellence:
Implement and optimise sales frameworks, processes, and tools to enhance pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and deal velocity.
Introduce and refine KPI dashboards and performance measurement tools to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous commercial improvement.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment:
Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, revenue operations, data analytics, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of all revenue-generating activities.
Align sales enablement initiatives, messaging, and training with marketing campaigns and product developments to maintain a cohesive customer journey.
Change Management & Continuous Improvement:
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, guiding clients through organisational changes that elevate their commercial capabilities and operational excellence.
Identify technology and process enhancements that streamline sales workflows and boost productivity, ensuring clients remain competitive and agile.
Job requirements
Experience: 7+ years of experience in commercial strategy, revenue operations, or sales strategy roles within B2B environments. Experience with scale-ups, SME companies, or management consulting is highly preferred.
GTM Expertise: Proven track record in developing and executing successful Go-to-Market strategies for growing organisations, ideally in the B2B sector.
Commercial acumen: Strong understanding of revenue growth levers, pricing strategies, sales processes, and marketing best practices.
Analytical & Data-Driven: Ability to interpret complex data sets, deliver actionable insights, and drive evidence-based commercial decisions.
Project Management: Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple clients and initiatives simultaneously.
Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Adaptability: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and guide clients through change.
Language Proficiency: Full professional working proficiency in Dutch and English.
