Growth Strategist (Growth Marketing)

About the job

As a Growth Strategist at RocketX, you will shape, define, and optimise the growth marketing strategies for a variety of clients across the B2B landscape. You’re a pro at identifying opportunities to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention in innovative ways. You’ll work closely with our multidisciplinary team—sales, RevOps, design, content, and brand—to create data-driven strategies that fuel rapid, sustainable growth for our clients.

Whether it’s analysing funnel metrics, spearheading A/B testing, or refining marketing automation workflows, you’re the one connecting the dots between the bigger business picture and the day-to-day tactics. Responsibilities

  • Market & Audience Research
    As the Growth Strategist, you’ll immerse yourself in our clients’ industries to fully understand customer behaviors, market trends, and competitor activities. You’ll use these insights to pinpoint key opportunities that set our clients apart and spark meaningful growth.
  • Growth Marketing Strategy
    Building on your research, you’ll craft holistic (growth) marketing plans that align with each client’s overarching business goals. You’ll translate insights into actionable tactics, ensuring every initiative—from new channel exploration to funnel improvements—pushes the needle forward.

  • Channel Optimisation
    You’ll test, refine, and scale acquisition channels to uncover the most profitable paths for growth. By continuously monitoring performance, you’ll make data-driven decisions on how to optimize customer journeys and maximize return on investment.

  • Experimentation & A/B Testing
    You’ll champion an experiment-first culture, designing A/B tests to validate hypotheses around messaging, user experience, and product-market fit. By analyzing results and iterating quickly, you’ll steer ongoing improvements and keep the momentum going.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    Using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Amplitude, you’ll track performance metrics and derive actionable insights. Your clear, concise reporting will help clients and internal teams understand results and guide strategic decisions.

  • Collaboration & Leadership
    Success in this role depends on strong teamwork. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams—including sales, RevOps, content, design, and brand—to unify efforts around shared objectives. By offering strategic guidance and open communication, you’ll build trust and drive collective success.


Job requirements

What we are looking for in a Brand Strategist

  • Branding runs through your veins, and you have a solid portfolio to back it;

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in delivering value through brand strategies

  • You are a Brand Strategist who understands and enjoys the challenge of growing B2B solutions in their early stages and can inspire others around them;

  • You are a storyteller and storyseller. You know that a strong narrative beats a PowerPoint deck all day, every day.

  • Strategic thinking and strong communication skills are essential for this role. We are looking for a real team player, highly collaborative, who gives constructive feedback to all to help them grow.

  • You speak English fluently (and preferably also Dutch!)

  • You live in the Amsterdam area

  • Being a scale-up ourselves and working for them, you must be able to think on your feet and drive outcomes at lightning speed with a dash of pragmatism.
